The Family [Finished]

[accalia]

"I am in bed." Tony complains as he's helped up "but i won't stay there with company about."

[yamikuronue]

Gabe looks about to correct him, but the words catch in his throat, and his face softens. "Oh. Sorry." he says instead, helping him to the table in the nearby kitchen.

[accalia]

"Thank you." Tony says as he eases down into a chair "He left you a note then? Or is it something more?"

[yamikuronue]

"Yes, he left a note. Last week. We've been trying to find him ever since.  We've been here three times, but neither of you were home."

[accalia]

"It's been a hell of a week." Tony admits "How many details have you been able to piece together from your work?"

[yamikuronue]

"Something big went down," he says, quietly. "Vic's in trouble, might even be..." he lets out a frustrated sigh. "And he won't let us help. Doesn't want us involved. Ran away rather than let us get hurt."

[accalia]

"Yeah. Tried the same thing on me. Note's still around here somewhere." Tony admits "Fortunately i managed to talk some sense into her before she left."

[yamikuronue]

Gabe catches the pronoun, turning his head sharply. "She?"

[accalia]

"She's good, but there are tells when you know what to look for." Tony explains "Also he told me when he asked for help when the whole fallout with Giovanni happened."

Tony doesn't seem to have settled on a pronoun for Vic.

[yamikuronue]

Gabe nods, slowly. "It's good that someone knows. It's... been hard for her, hiding it all this time."

He shakes his head, dismissing the topic. "But that letter... it's like she meant to go off and die. And then we couldn't find her anywhere."

[accalia]

"That did seem to be her plan, yeah" Tony admits sadly 'Lucky for us someone talked some sense into her"

[yamikuronue]

"What happened?" he asks, as he lowers Tony into a chair.

[accalia]

"a lot of things happened. but i think what sent him over the edge was me getting shot for tackling someone who has pointing a gun at her."

[yamikuronue]

Gabe nods, his face grim. "That sounds rough."

[accalia]

"It's no fun. I don't recommend it."
