"And you're not religious, and your mother's passed, so who are you trying to please?"

"It's not that i'm trying to please." Tony admits 'It's just not an option for me. Terrible fact of the life I chose."

[yamikuronue]

"Worried about leaving a widow?" she asks, her voice more sober.

[accalia]

"It would be a concern, but no. the problems start rather earlier than that." Tony pulls out onto the main street and works at getting quickly to the left lane.

[yamikuronue]

"Hmm. I'm a big believer in letting people make their own choices about whether they want to marry me." She grins. "Maybe that's why I'm still single."

[accalia]

"If you knew why, you'd....." Tony says, turning into a parking lot. he sighs theatrically as he keys off the car 'You're not going to stop until i spill the beans, are you?"

"Nope," she says, playfully. "But I'll cut you a break for now."

[accalia]

Tony groans at the admission as he gets out of the car, they've stopped at the local hotel that offers rooms for the night. "I thought ahead and reserved for tonight." Tony admits shyly He means he thought that they'd want a place to drink and the prices are better her than at a speakeasy, but.... well there's another way to read this too.

"Ooh, perceptive. I like that in a man," she says, taking his arm.

Tony walks in and gets the room key with Kate on his arm. Vic was right. Kate is dangerous!

Kate keeps his arm as he does, letting him lead her to the room. "So. You promised champagne?"

[accalia]

Tony smiles as he opens the door to the room where three bottles are chilling on the table. "I may have bent a few rules for tonight."

[yamikuronue]

She laughs. "Is this where I pull out a gun and tell you it was a sting operation?"

[accalia]

Tony laughs 'Yeah, I doubt you'd ruin this night this early."

[yamikuronue]

"True. I'll have to watch you drink some of it, just to be sure." She laughs, moving to sit on the bed. "Your ward will be alright overnight?"
