The Family [Finished]

[accalia]

"I get the feeling that's part of what got your interest?"

[yamikuronue]

"Yeah," she confirms. "You have a big heart. I like that."

[accalia]

"So I've noticed."

[yamikuronue]

She chuckles. "You're also brave," she points out.

[accalia]

Tony winces at the memory of being shot " Yeah. that one gets me into more trouble than it gets me out of."

[yamikuronue]

"True." She shrugs. "You're handsome, as well. I could do worse. I could even bring you home to mother, unlike most of my crushes."

[accalia]

"Huh. well that is a benefit I hadn't thought of."

[yamikuronue]

"Indeed." She turns into his driveway. "Think about it, okay? If we wanted, we could get married, and even if it doesn't work out we'll still have that respectability as cover for whatever else we wanted to do."

[accalia]

"That's moving a bit fast isn't it?" Tony complains in mock horror. "Also, aren't I the one that's supposed to propose?"

[yamikuronue]

She laughs. "No pressure." She turns off the car. "This is your stop?"

[accalia]

"I think it is. time to go to see the firing squad. I'll see you at work tonight." Tony says as he levers himself out of the car painfully.

[yamikuronue]

"You as well." She smiles at him. "Take care of yourself. And don't get shot again."

[accalia]

"Can't make any promises, I think Vic's pretty mad. but i'll see what i can do about being better at dodging."

[yamikuronue]

She smiles at him, letting him leave the car finally.

As he opens the door, he hears a hammer cock; Vic leaps to his feet, blearily, readying his pistol aimed generally at the door.

"Woah!" Tony calls in surprise and panic, noticing the gun and dropping flat to the floor. "Stand down!"
