The Family [Finished]

"Would you... think badly of me if I went in?" she asks, quietly.

Tony shakes his head in the negative. "It's your call to do what is right for you."

"Can you promise not to take any more bullets for me?"

[accalia]

"That, I cannot promise, but i'll do my best not to have to." Tony says while smiling.

[yamikuronue]

Vic doesn't smile. "I mean it. I don't want you protecting me. I want to make my own mistakes." She takes a deep breath. "Okay. Let's do this."

[accalia]

Tony smiles. They grow up so fast... Let's see how he handles the situation.

She heads into the room, giving another bow to Giovanni. "It has come to my attention that the Captain is not interested in white women, so I cannot seduce him. I am willing to take on the job anyway, but I will need more pay and more leeway to come up with another solution."

Giovanni folds his hands, resting his chin on them thoughtfully. "And why should I trust you that much?"

"Because I owe you my life, sir." says Vic, smoothly. "You saved me from those thugs who were planning to shoot me, and you spared me when I was dishonest with you. I will do my best to achieve your goals because I have seen the consequences for failure."

"Well spoken," he says, with a chuckle. "Alright, then. Prove to me you have what it takes."

"I will, sir," replies Vic.

"You have an appointment with my tailor in five minutes in the drawing room. I will have the resulting outfits delivered to your new address when they are done."

Vic looks startled. "Oh.. thank you, sir."

"Go on, you don't want to keep him waiting."

Tony's aura of..... murder restrained... returns once he enters Giovanni's presence following vic, and once again he controls it to the point where there are no outward signs of his desire. Tony has decided not to act on it, and while that does not eliminate the desire it does mean that Giovanni's safe from it, although his bodyguards have clearly picked up on Tony's feelings as they shift nervously.

One of the guards in particular is extra nervous, still nursing several broken ribs from his last encounter with Tony that ended with Tony landing on him knees first and all but breaking his hand after he had shot Tony... He is not looking forward to a potential repeat of that day.

Fortunately for him though, Tony has his rage well in check, and lets Vic run this show.

Vic bows again, and heads for the drawing room; there, over the next half-hour, he's measured and remarked on by the tailor, who seems entirely unsurprised to find himself measuring a female form. Then they're summarily turned out again, let loose to find their way home.

Tony observes the fitting in silence, a rather brooding silence to be quite honest.

As they get in the car, Vic asks, "Was that wrong?"

[accalia]

Tony frowns, he thought he had been better at hiding his feelings "He didn't respect your choice." is all he says on the topic.

[yamikuronue]

"But I told him I'd do it."

[accalia]

"But he refused to accept you as male." Tony says sticking to the point "That's your choice, not his.

Vic make a face. "It's not that important."
