The Family [Finished]

Vic makes a small strained noise, looking from Tony to Kate and back.

Kate sighs, moving over to the sink. "I can finish here, if you like?" she says, quietly.

[accalia]

Tony shakes his head "No Kate, You cooked, that means I clean."

[yamikuronue]

Kate laughs. "The kid clearly doesn't want me seeing his amazing girl-attracting new outfit until I have a chance to be stunned by its brilliance on his body. Maybe he's planning to steal me away from you?" she teases.

Vic just quietly slips back toward the front hall.

Tony rolls his eyes, He was almost certain that Kate had worked things out by now, he had hoped she'd told him, but.... well he can't really blame her either. Trust is hard to come by with that kid.

[yamikuronue]

She waits until he's gone before adding, "or gowns, whichever."

[accalia]

"You could have told him you'd worked it out you know. would have stopped him worrying about it."

[yamikuronue]

"Where's the fun in that?" she says, with a smile.

[accalia]

that earned a sigh from Tony. 'How long are you going to play with him then?"

[yamikuronue]

Her tone becomes more serious. "I don't out people, in general. If he indicates he'd want me to know, I'll let him know I already do so he doesn't have to go through the awkward part where he tells me. Otherwise, I'll keep it safe between us."

[accalia]

Tony thinks about that for a moment.... "Huh. Okay then. that's fair...... sorry."

[yamikuronue]

She smiles. "No big deal. It's all complicated, this gender stuff. Have you seen the magazines they're putting out now for people Vic's age? It's all, girls do this, boys do that. As if they didn't know better than the writers how to be themselves!"

[accalia]

"Father used to buy magazines like that for me, and i responded by burning them in the drive way so that the ashes would still be cooling when he came home from work." Tony admits.

[yamikuronue]

Kate nods. "As well you should."

[accalia]

"Many would disagree, but they're asshats so no skin off my nose there."

[yamikuronue]

"Precisely. Why mention them at all?" She grins. "They're hardly worth notice."
