The Family [Finished]

"I uh. It's still not my... it's not like my dad would have asked my opinion if he wanted to get remarried."

[accalia]

"So i'm an odd fellow." Tony says with a shrug "And I value your opinion"

[yamikuronue]

Vic hesitates. "I don't... really know you?" he says to Kate, wincing. "I mean, no offense, I  just don't.. I don't really know."

[accalia]

Tony nods "So what you're saying is you need to get to know each other better first? Alright then. How about this, Vic you and Kate go and look at some furniture places, get a short list for replacing the couch, and grab lunch while you're out. That will give you a chance to talk and start getting to know each other. While the two of you are out I'll finish moving my stuff, get the old couch to the curb and try to pull something together for dinner, for three. Sound good?"

"Alright," says Kate. Vic looks briefly panicked, but nods. "Can I... talk to you first though?" he asks, of Tony.

[accalia]

Tony nods "Sure. You can help me with a box or two while we talk. I'll get Vic back to you quickly" He says to Kate with a wink.

[yamikuronue]

Kate smiles, taking a sip of her tea.

Vic heads out of the room with Tony, composing his thoughts. As they start on the box, he asks, quietly, "How much does she know? What can I tell her?"

[accalia]

"About me? everything. About you? i think she's worked it out but she doesn't have confirmation. As for what you can tell her, as much as you feel comfortable with. I trust her discretion." Tony replies, hefting a box to walk upstairs.

[yamikuronue]

"So she's fine with.. our employer?"

[accalia]

"Hasn't come up in conversation." Tony admits "But if it does.... I trust her."

[yamikuronue]

Vic winces. "Most cops wouldn't be cool with it," he points out.

[accalia]

"She ain't a cop." Tony replies "And even if she was, she's got a good head on her shoulder, i trust her."

[yamikuronue]

Vic nods. "Okay, then." he says, quietly, as he finishes unpacking.

[accalia]

"Now, if that's all?" Tony asks, well aware of Vic's capacity for..... delaying tactics.

[yamikuronue]

Vic blushes. "Alright. Okay. It should be okay. Right?"
