The Family [Finished]

"If I didn't think it would be fine I wouldn't have suggested the trip." Tony promises "It should be fine, and it will be a real help to me, I hate shopping in those places."

Vic nods, heading back into the kitchen where Kate is just finishing her tea. "Ready to go?" she asks, grabbing her purse.

Vic just nods, falling into step behind her with a "here goes nothing" expression...

Tony follows Vic back down the stairs and grabs another box to carry upstairs. in truth he doesn't have that much to move, having mostly lived out of a suitcase for years now.

It takes a long time for Vic to come back; long enough for him to finish unpacking, make some lunch, and get nervous if he's so inclined. How long can shopping take? Well, at least he didn't have to do it. At least.

There's a knock on the door, but it's not Vic; it's a courier, bringing over several bagged items of clothing for Vic, from the tailor.

It's almost dark when the two come home. Vic races Kate up the walk, laughing as he does; he's holding a paper tray that indicates they probably stopped for hoagies (or maybe a corndog?) on the way home. Vic wins the race, collapsing against the front door, breathless with laughter.

Kate wipes her brow. "Alright, you win, I'll start working out again." she teases. "Hey Tony."

"I see you had fun. I take it you don't need steak and burnt potatoes for dinner then?" Tony asks, His cooking skills have been improving since Vic moved in but they're not..... great.... either.

[yamikuronue]

"Steak's great," says Vic, still grinning.

Kate laughs. "Teenagers."

[accalia]

Toiny smiles "Into the kitchen with you to set the table then" he says to Vic, rolling his eyes in agreement with Kate.

Vic darts in to set the table while Kate plants a kiss on Tony's cheek. "Miss me?"

[accalia]

"Immensely" Tony confirms returning the kiss awkwardly.

[yamikuronue]

Kate grins at him. "We got on well."

[accalia]

"I guessed. Did you actually go shopping?" Tony asks, guessing an alternate destination might have occured to them.

[yamikuronue]

"We did.. briefly. We found a couch on the first try -- turns out, Vic doesn't have opinions on couches, so I picked a likely one and we hit the boardwalk." She shrugs. "He's still a kid, as much as he likes to forget that."

[accalia]

"Well that's a weight off my chest. How much of my money did you spend on the couch anyway?" Tony asks jokingly, ushering Kate into the house.

[yamikuronue]

"I wanted your opinion before we bought it," she grins.

[accalia]

"Of course... And here i thought i could get out of shopping."
